CCL Search is an independent executive retained search firm that is focused on the recruitment of CFOs and their direct reports.  Our goal is to provide a high level of service to a small number of customers and to exceed their expectations by earning and maintaining their trust and that of the candidate. We believe the professional experience of our team and the alignment of our business model with the needs of our clients gives us these competitive advantages and makes CCL the right partner for our clients.

We fully appreciate the importance of speed in filling open leadership positions. As such, we limit the number of searches we conduct at any one time.  In contrast, the common practice at the big firms is for each recruiter to carry a search load of six to twelve searches at any one time. Even with leverage this means that your search only gets a fraction of the recruiter’s attention each day. We offer you our intense daily focus in order to get your search done on your time schedule.
We want a partnership with our clients. The best outcomes come if all sides work together. We take great pride in the professional quality of our work. We know that our experience is what you are seeking and we will not share your mission with an inexperienced pair of hands! We have an uncompromising determination to achieve excellence in everything that we undertake for you. Our goal, through the use of the latest technology as well as old-fashioned phone calls, is to give our clients quick access to information either through a daily update or other means if they desire to know where their search stands at any given time. We expect our people to maintain high ethical standards in all they do. We regularly receive confidential information as part of our work with you. To breach a confidence or to use confidential information improperly or carelessly would be unthinkable.
Too often interests are not aligned. We believe that our model allows better alignment in two key areas that are often a question when starting a relationship with a search firm.  First, we are able to better manage off-limit conflicts than the big firms.  We limit the number of clients and therefore have few corporate off-limit issues. Secondly, we do not have to battle with our colleagues for access to qualified candidates, as do search firms with many recruiters working on parallel searches. The common fee structure of 1/3 plus a retainer that is approximately 80% of the final fee does not align the interests of all parties. We have some different ideas about fees please ask us about them.  
We have the market knowledge and relationships to get candidates to talk to us and suspend their objections long enough to truly understand the great opportunity that is presented. We have been on both sides of the search/recruiting process and understand that trust must be developed and that relationships should last a long time.
We have deep knowledge of the functional skills that a highly-effective financial offer must have. This knowledge comes not just from years of experience at a major search firm, but more than 15 years in finance roles – including CFO for a private equity portfolio company, and various finance roles including Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations for PepsiCo and Pepsi Bottling Group (NYSE: PBG)
